Always make sure that you rescan files after you have repaired them with Virus Clinic. Under very rare circumstances it is possible for one virus to be "hidden" by another. It may not show up until the first virus is removed. Rescanning guarantees that such a hidden virus will not go undetected.

The following incompatibilities occur when using these programs with SAM Intercept:
ALDUS PERSUASION INSTALLER — Due to the way this installer handles memory (low memory), it gives the appearance that SAM Intercept will not Learn. Therefore, turn off SAM Intercept when using the installation program for Aldus Persuasion.
CPS DELETE TRACKING, PC TOOLS FOR THE MACINTOSH — Because of the way this program works, it will not load itself if SAM Intercept loads before it. To work around the problem, rename CPS Delete Tracking, so it loads before SAM Intercept or use the Shield INIT file from SUM (Symantec Utilities for Macintosh).
DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE, NORTON UTILITIES FOR THE MACINTOSH - When configuring SAM Intercept's Folder Scan, when typing the Command key only, Directory Assistance will place a Command-a in the hot key configuration box.
LIAISON v2.0 — If you are using this program with SAM and are having a problem, rename the LIAISON file so it loads before SAM Intercept at startup.
IOMEGA BERNOULLI BOX — Some versions of the driver INIT for this device should load first or crashing can occur.
MACSERVE — Due to the way that MacServe moves memory, SAM should not be run when MacServe is installed.
OUTBOUND LAPTOP — Due to a difference in the way that the OUTBOUND Keyboard is configured, you may not be able to do the following:
1) Use Command - Period to cancel a floppy scan.
2) Bypass SAM Intercept at start up.
There is no way around these anomalies at this time. Outbound Systems is aware of these anomalies.
PROGRAMMER’S ONLINE COMPANION — Early versions of The Programmer's Online can cause a system crash when a SAM Intercept Alert appears. Crashes normally occur during startup or when attempting to launch an infected application. Contact Addison-Wesley for the latest version of this program.
SUPERMAC SPEEDCARD — The INIT for this card must load before SAM Intercept or a System crash occurs.
TOPS — Occasionally “Bypass resource handler” alerts are displayed when the Protection Level is set to Advanced. To work around this problem, either Learn this activity or set the Protection Level to Custom and turn off the “Bypass resource handler” Protection category.
--CHANGES IN THE MANUAL--
Ch. 2 Throughout Chapter 2, references to SAM Intercept’s scanning are inaccurate. It should say that SAM Intercept scans any file with a resource fork and any HyperCard stack. This is equivalent to the SAM Virus Clinic Full Scan.
3-12 The screen shot shown for Scanning Single Files is inaccurate. It shows five buttons, and there should be only four: Eject, Drive, Scan, and Cancel.
3-15 The screen shot shown for Repairing Single Files is inaccurate. It shows five buttons, and there should be only four: Eject, Drive, Repair, and Cancel.
